PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Treatment for Any 1 Area of Concern is an advanced regenerative treatment designed to improve skin quality, texture, and overall appearance using the body’s own natural healing properties.
The procedure begins with a small blood sample taken from the client. This sample is placed into a specialised centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which contains powerful growth factors that support tissue repair and collagen production.
The PRP is then carefully injected into the specific area of concern, helping stimulate cell regeneration, improve skin texture, and promote healthier, rejuvenated skin over time.
This treatment is commonly used to target areas such as under the eyes, fine lines, acne scars, uneven skin texture, or areas of dull or ageing skin. Because the treatment uses the body’s own plasma, it is considered a natural and minimally invasive solution for skin rejuvenation.
Who Is This Treatment For?
This treatment may be suitable for individuals who:
• Want to improve the appearance of a specific skin concern
• Have fine lines, dull skin, or uneven texture
• Are looking to improve skin quality naturally
• Prefer a treatment that uses their body’s own growth factors
• Want skin rejuvenation without surgery or fillers
PRP works best for individuals looking to refresh and regenerate the skin naturally.
Why Choose PRP Treatment?
Natural skin regeneration
PRP uses your body’s own growth factors to stimulate skin repair and rejuvenation.
Improves skin texture and tone
Helps smooth the skin, improve radiance, and reduce signs of ageing.
Boosts collagen production
Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, helping skin appear firmer and healthier.
Minimally invasive treatment
The procedure involves small injections with little downtime required.
Versatile treatment option
PRP can be used on various areas of the face and skin depending on the client’s specific concerns.
AfterCare
Avoid Wearing Make-Up
Clients should refrain from applying make-up for at least 24 hours following treatment. This gives the skin time to recover and reduces the risk of product entering the injection sites, which could cause irritation or infection.
Delay Additional Treatments
Although patients may wish to enhance their results with further procedures, it’s important to allow the skin adequate time to heal. Additional treatments should be postponed for a minimum of two weeks. If visiting another practitioner, clients must inform them of their recent treatment, as the skin may remain more sensitive than usual.
Maintain Hydration
Encourage clients to drink plenty of water after treatment. Many skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid (HA), which attracts and retains moisture. Staying hydrated helps to optimise and prolong the treatment’s benefits.
Limit Sun Exposure
Direct sun exposure should be avoided immediately after treatment, as it can increase inflammation and compromise the healing process. If sun exposure is unavoidable, clients should apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and wear protective clothing, such as a wide-brimmed hat.
Avoid Excessive Heat
Activities that expose the skin to high temperatures - such as saunas, steam rooms, or very hot showers - should be avoided during recovery. Excess heat can worsen swelling, bruising, and irritation.
Steer Clear of Certain Substances
Alcohol, smoking, and certain medications (such as ibuprofen) can increase the likelihood of swelling and bruising due to their effects on blood flow. Clients should avoid these for at least 24 hours post-treatment. For suitable pain relief options, they should consult a pharmacist.
Minimise Pressure and Touching
The treated area should be handled gently. Clients should avoid applying pressure - such as lying directly on the area - and refrain from unnecessary touching for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection.
Pause Strenuous Exercise
Intense physical activity should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment, as increased blood flow and perspiration may contribute to additional swelling or bruising. Light activities, such as gentle walking, are generally acceptable.
