The Vampire Facial, also known as a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Facial, is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall radiance using the body’s own natural healing properties.

The treatment begins with a small blood sample, which is placed in a specialised centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma contains powerful growth factors that help stimulate collagen production and accelerate skin regeneration.

PRP is then applied to the skin alongside microneedling, which creates tiny micro-channels in the skin. This allows the PRP to penetrate deeper into the skin, boosting its regenerative effects.

The result is smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin, with improved texture and natural radiance. Over time, the treatment helps stimulate collagen and elastin production, supporting long-term skin health and rejuvenation.

Who Is This Treatment For?

The Vampire Facial may be suitable for individuals who:

• Want to improve overall skin texture and tone

• Are experiencing fine lines and early signs of ageing

• Have acne scars or uneven skin texture

• Want brighter and more radiant skin

• Prefer a natural skin rejuvenation treatment using their body’s own growth factors

This treatment is suitable for most skin types and is commonly chosen by individuals looking for natural skin rejuvenation without surgery or fillers.

Why Choose a Vampire Facial?

Boosts collagen production

The combination of PRP and microneedling stimulates natural collagen and elastin production for firmer, healthier skin.

Improves skin texture and tone

Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and uneven skin texture.

Natural skin rejuvenation

Because PRP is derived from your own blood, the treatment uses your body’s natural healing process.

Minimally invasive treatment

The procedure requires little downtime and is a popular alternative to more aggressive skin treatments.

Long-term skin improvement

Results continue to improve over time as collagen production increases.

AfterCare

Avoid Wearing Make-Up

Clients should refrain from applying make-up for at least 24 hours following treatment. This gives the skin time to recover and reduces the risk of product entering the injection sites, which could cause irritation or infection.

Delay Additional Treatments

Although patients may wish to enhance their results with further procedures, it’s important to allow the skin adequate time to heal. Additional treatments should be postponed for a minimum of two weeks. If visiting another practitioner, clients must inform them of their recent treatment, as the skin may remain more sensitive than usual.

Maintain Hydration

Encourage clients to drink plenty of water after treatment. Many skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid (HA), which attracts and retains moisture. Staying hydrated helps to optimise and prolong the treatment’s benefits.

Limit Sun Exposure

Direct sun exposure should be avoided immediately after treatment, as it can increase inflammation and compromise the healing process. If sun exposure is unavoidable, clients should apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and wear protective clothing, such as a wide-brimmed hat.

Avoid Excessive Heat

Activities that expose the skin to high temperatures - such as saunas, steam rooms, or very hot showers - should be avoided during recovery. Excess heat can worsen swelling, bruising, and irritation.

Steer Clear of Certain Substances

Alcohol, smoking, and certain medications (such as ibuprofen) can increase the likelihood of swelling and bruising due to their effects on blood flow. Clients should avoid these for at least 24 hours post-treatment. For suitable pain relief options, they should consult a pharmacist.

Minimise Pressure and Touching

The treated area should be handled gently. Clients should avoid applying pressure - such as lying directly on the area - and refrain from unnecessary touching for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection.

Pause Strenuous Exercise

Intense physical activity should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment, as increased blood flow and perspiration may contribute to additional swelling or bruising. Light activities, such as gentle walking, are generally acceptable.
